  • 6 –8 cups strong brewed coffee
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk

Method

  1. Brew the coffee. Prepare 6–8 cups of strong coffee using your preferred brewing method.
  2. Combine the ingredients. Pour the brewed coffee into a large, heat-safe pitcher. Add the sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Mix thoroughly. Stir until the condensed milk is completely incorporated and the coffee has a smooth, even color.
  4. Chill the mixture. Allow the coffee to cool as needed, then cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
  5. Prepare the glasses. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes or frozen coffee cubes.
  6. Serve. Pour the chilled coffee mixture over the ice and stir gently before drinking.

Notes

  • Coffee strength: Use strong brewed coffee to balance the sweetness and richness of the condensed milk.
  • Sweetened condensed milk: Use one 14-ounce can. It provides both sweetness and creaminess, so additional sugar or milk is generally unnecessary.
  • Chilling: Refrigerate the coffee mixture until cold before serving.
  • Make-ahead preparation: Prepare a pitcher in advance and keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • Coffee ice cubes: Pour leftover brewed coffee into ice cube trays and freeze. Use these instead of regular ice to keep the iced coffee cold without diluting its flavor.
  • Serving: This recipe makes approximately 6–8 servings, depending on portion size.
  • Sweetness adjustment: Using 6 cups of coffee produces a sweeter, richer mixture than using 8 cups.
