Ingredients

  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles broken in half
  • 1 24-ounce jar pasta sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10–12 minutes, or until tender but still slightly firm to the bite.
  2. Drain the cooked noodles thoroughly, then return them to the pot.
  3. Pour in the pasta sauce and place the pot over medium heat. Stir gently and cook for about 5 minutes, until the sauce is heated through and the noodles are evenly coated.
  4. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese and stir until the cheese melts into the hot pasta, creating a rich, cheesy coating.
  5. Serve immediately while the cheese is warm and melted. Add your favorite optional toppings before serving.

Notes

  • Freshly cracked black pepper adds a little extra flavor and makes a simple finishing garnish.
  • Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan over the pasta for a sharper, savory cheese flavor.
  • Add red pepper flakes if you enjoy a little heat.
  • Serve immediately for the best melted-cheese texture.
